'Cross Nationals Early Bird Deadline
Courtesy Normon Thibault
The Early Registration Deadline for the National Cyclocross Championships, November 11th in Nanaimo will close at midnight pacific time on November 2nd. You have until that time to register to save yourself $10 and to help out the organization by registering early. There are also other "secret" benefits or perks to registering early that will be revealed when you pick up your package.....we can't tell you!!
Absolute deadline for registering for the National Championships is Thursday, November 9th at 7:00pm but we would REALLY-REALLY like it if you all registered earlier than that....it will make our lives a lot easier and make registration and call-up a lot smoother!!
Note the challenge races on the same course as Nationals earlier in the day at 8:30. These races are open to beginners, novice, out-of shapers, non-canadians, non-CCA licenced, mountainbike racers, disc brake users or anyone else that just wants to get a ride in on the course before settling into some great spectator action. The categories for these races are Open Men, Open Women, U20M and U20W. Lets get a decent turn out for these races OR they might get cut from future national champs schedules. We are trying to open the event up to everyone.....so register!!
The Fletchers Farm Cross on the Rock race is proving to be popular as well with over 50% of nationals registrants indicating they will be taking this fun race in as well. While pre-registration is not needed for Fletcher's Farm it will make your Sunday a little smoother and our registration process a little easier.
As always if you have any questions please fire them to: normont@islandnet.com
We are still looking for a few more volunteers. We have an outline of where we need help if you want us to forward it to you to see if you can help out. It is not an all day commitment and again we have some suprizes for you!!
