The prize will also include a ride with the team in Vancouver and a Navigators team kit.
Dates were announced for the three races presented by the Team.
* The Westside Cycling Classic will run on a new course on June 24th 2007
* the Tour de Gastown, the highlight of the cycling summer in Canada, will be on Wednesday July 18th 2007
* A new and exciting UCI level cyclocross event is planned for New Brighton Park in September.
* The Evening of Champions banquet will return in 2007 and will include stars from the world of cycling and will again be one of the Team's main fundraising initiatives of 2007.
"We are very pleased to be able to donate to the BC Cancer Foundation again this year, it really is a testament to the hard work of our members and the generosity of our sponsors," explained Philip Meyer, a director of Wedgewood Cycling Team. Meyer not only gave credit to all the team sponsors whom he announced have all re-signed with the team for a further two years, but also the race sponsors for all Wedgewood Cycling Team events.
"Quite frankly without these sponsors these types of events would not be possible in the City of Vancouver. Supporters like Formwerks Architecture, Stonefield Development, and Navigators Insurance have all helped with our success this year," Meyer continued.
The Wedgewood Cycling Team organises all its events in support of the BC Cancer Foundation, for more information on the team and their events please visit www.teamwedgewood.com.
