Atlantic Cycling Centre Giant Elite Program 2007
The Giant Elite Program at the National Cycling Centre - Atlantic Canada is one of the most successful programs in Canada and has seen consistent growth since its birth in 2002. Again this year, we are proud to include Giant Bicycle as the official bike of the program. We are also very happy to count on the Canadian Sport Centre - Atlantic's support.
This program will be divided into three major tiers, these fit into the new Canadian Cycling Association's LTAD from stage Learn to Compete to Train to Win.
For 2007, the program will be similar with the following changes:
* Necessary results for Gold B status have slightly increased in certain categories.
* Every Gold level rider will now see a cost associated to being associated to the program.
* Bronze B will be replaced with another tier to be announced shortly. This program will be a total partnership with the Atlantic provincial cycling associations.
See attached document for all details and application procedure. Deadline for application is December 15th. Once all the application have been received, the Centre's head coach will be in touch with every successful applicant to confirm the tier they will be funded at. Every Elite rider will then be invited to the first training camp on December 29th (bronze and silver Tier only) and 30th (all tiers).
