Rocky Mountain Bicycles, a leading bicycle manufacturer based in Delta, BC, is looking for an experienced web developer to join our marketing team full time. You are a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual who has the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, work independently and with a team, while reporting to the lead graphic designer. You must be able to manage your projects and to produce high quality, maintainable code. A passion for progressive, creative, and innovative coding will be encouraged. Knowledge of bicycles, French or German languages is a plus.
Required Skillset:
- 3 years experience building dynamic web sites
- Strongly skilled in CSS/DOM, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX
- The ability to hand-code and design custom database driven web applications using php/mysql or asp.net
- Good knowledge of the latest web trends
- Search Engine optimization experience
- At least intermediate design skills using Photoshop or Fireworks, manipulation and compression of images for the web environment
- Comfortable with MS Office Suite
- Awareness of W3C standards, design and usability best practices
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work closely with designers and content developers
- Accountable and reliable
Additional Assets:
- Flash and Flash Actionscript 2.0 programming
- Video Editing / Compression
- Adobe Illustrator
Responsibilities:
- Conceptualization and execution of application interface designs
- Implement solutions that meet conceptual, strategic and tactical goals
- Work with lead graphic designer to compress/size images for web environment
- Assist in developing both online and offline marketing collateral
- Deliver assigned tasks on time
- Research new advancements in technology and share information about new tools/techniques with the marketing/design team
