Burnaby Velodrome Welcomes First Coach & Program Coordinator

The Burnaby Velodrome is pleased to welcome NCCP Level 3 coach Jeremy Storie as the official Coach and Program Coordinator of the Burnaby Velodrome.

Jeremy comes to the track with a long list of experiences: Director of 800.com Pro Women's Cycling Team, Director of Symmetrics Pro Cycling Team, and creator of the dEVo Youth Development program. He has coached many junior and senior National Team Athletes to National Championship titles, World Cup medals, Commonwealth Games teams, and Pan Am Games teams. Through the dEVo youth program, Jeremy has helped develop some of Canada's next top cyclists, including: Marsh and Naomi Cooper, Cam Evans, Will Routley, and Cybil Diguistini.

With the recent acquisition of a high-speed electric pace bike and a start gate on loan from the CCA, the Burnaby Velodrome now offers a year round world class facility that has all of the tools to develop the next Junior, Senior, and Masters international champions.

Storie, who started on December 1st commented "I am excited to start this new position at the Burnaby Velodrome. With our new board of directors, our membership and clinic numbers way up, and our new training tools, Burnaby is becoming the place to be to ride track. My aim is to provide a solid foundation of programming for riders of all levels and continue to grow the sport of track cycling."
