Fondriest Retires
Maurizio Fondriest has announced his retirement from cycling. Fondriest was the World Champion in 1988 and the World Cup Champion in 1991 and 1993. For Canadians, he is probably best know for winning the world title by default when Steve Bauer and Claude Criquelion collided and crashed in the final sprint for the title. Bauer was disqualified (unfairly, in our opinion).
And There It Was, Gone...
Rumours are starting to surface that the new CCA Events Department is stillborn. We will try to confirm as soon as possible, but with the holidays it may take a few days.
Holiday Greetings
To all our friends and readers (and especially those who took the time to drop us a line), best wishes for the holidays.
