Symmetrics Pro Cycling Announces 2007 Women's Team Roster
After the recent announcement of the Pro men's team, Symmetrics Cycling is pleased to announce the 2007 Women's team. After such a strong 2007 season, the team saw no reason to add any new riders to such a talented group. Returning once again is World Championship medalist Mandy Poitras, who had a good year, including a great win at BC Superweek despite a nagging illness. Another rider looking to make a strong comeback is up-and-comer Noe Cooper, sister of Pro men's team, Marsh. Cooper, one of Canada's strong female riders to climb the junior ranks, is set to make a smash alongside her S-Team fellow riders.
The incredible Leah Goldstein returns to the team and is definitely hungry to hurt more legs. In 2006, she won the Mt. Hood Stage Race, the BC Criterium Provincials, BC Road Provincials and the BC TT Provincials, although she was not eligible for the coveted BC Champ jersey because she has Israeli citizenship. Finally, returning once more is Marni Hambleton, who rode selflessly for the team in 2006, and is definitely poised for great things in 2007. In 2006, Hambleton was BC Female Road Cyclist of the year, as well as overall BC Cup Road Series winner.
