Ontario Cycling Association - Manager, High Performance Programs
Job Description
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager, High Performance Programs will be responsible for the administration of the High Performance program.
This is a full time position and requires some weekend and evening work throughout the year. The Manager, High Performance Programs is primarily responsible for the following areas:
* Work with the VP of High Performance and the HP committee to execute a succesful High Performance program for Ontario's elite athletes
* Manage the High Performance Program for all Cycling Disciplines including:
- Responsible for the annual High Performance budget
- Submit monthly/annual financial reports to the Board of Directors and respective committees
- Supervise Project Managers for all Provincial team programs
- Manage OCA Athlete Coaching Subsidy program
- Administer Quest for Gold Athlete Carding and Coaching Grants
- Order and distribute Provincial Team apparel
- Facilitate High Performance meetings
- Maintain High Performance section on website including content and design
- Administer and organize NCCP coaching courses for interested candidates throughout the province
* Key role in writing grant applications including Ministry of Health Promotion and Quest for Gold opportunities
* Contribute in the development of the OCA magazines including content and design
* Assist with the processing of annual membership and racing licenses
* Assist with the organization of the annual Bike Show promotional booth and annual awards banquet
* As a team player, this person will be willing to help out where necessary to ensure the OCA meets the objectives of the Strategic Plan
* Other duties as required
* The ideal candidate should have:
- Post Secondary Education in Sport Management or Administration
- Knowledge of the UCI/CCA/Provincial licensing system
- Experience working with budgets
- Experience managing programs
- Knowledge of the NCCP program and system
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to work with a wide range of personalities
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written communication.
- Ability to work with limited direction and exercise sound judgment in complex situations.
