Burnaby Day 4 Racing Cancelled
Due to heavy rain and concerns about the facility roof, organizers cancelled Day 4 racing last night at the Burnaby Track Six Day event. After the collapse of the roof at B.C. Place yesterday, organizers and venue management opted to be cautious. Track manager Jeremy Storie sent the following e-mail:
Hello all, please find attached the schedule (below) for the rest of the race. Start is still at 10 AM on Saturday but evening program will start at 5 PM. Please review all events and Sunday start time as well. It is not final that event will go on as it is dependent on the weather. We are waiting to hear from Volleyball about roof and weather. Check you email and BVC website and other websites for updates. The final word may not come until very early in morning so stay tuned. If we are racing this is the schedule we will follow. BVC is terribly sorry for these circumstances beyond our control. We will do everything to make the best of the situation.
