José Hermida Crowned as Spain's Cyclo-cross Champion
Report from Multivan Merida Team
In a superior manner, José Hermida secured himself the title of Spain's national cyclo-cross champion. After half of the race, Hermida managed to break away from the others, building a lead of 25 seconds to Isaac Suárez and more than one minute to Oscar Vázquez by the finish line. Thus in his first cyclocross season, Hermida secured himself the national championship title. Hermida is now considering whether to start at the Cyclo-cross World Championships in Belgium. One week earlier, Ralph Näf finished sixth at Switzerland's national cyclo-cross championships.
