2001 Canada Summer GamesClive Egan and Lori Pol have been selected to organize and run the cycling components of the 2001 Canada Summer Games in London, Ontario.
There will be four events: Individual Time Trial,Criterium,Road Race and Mountain Bike Cross Country.
Clive Egan is a Past Senior National Team Member for Road Racing and Lori Pol is currently racing Mountain Bike Cross Country at the Vet expert Level.
Minor officials(volunteers) must be identified by Sept 1999. Generic training will begin in the Fall of 1999. (Orientation to the Games, Protocol, Accreditation etc)
We are asking if anyone is interested in Volunteering to help with the cycling events to please email Lori Pol at Polel@ibm.net
We will need pre-event organizers and volunteers for race days. For race day we will need marshals, crews for race set-up and clean-up, drivers for vehicles, finish line judges, timers, lap counters, holders for time trials, registration personnel, bike check mechanics, mechanics for service vehicles, runners etc, etc.
We are responsible for providing announcing services throughout the cycling competition. The ideal PA Announcer will be proficient in announcing, sport knowledgeable and bilingual.
Any questions please write to the above email.
Thanks for supporting the 2001 Canada Summer Games.
