The OCA is pleased to introduce the new Provincial Coaching Director
After an extensive search for a candidate who has the vision and experience for this position, the OCA is pleased to announce that Denise Kelly has accepted the position of Provincial Coaching Director.
Denise's involvement in the sport of cycling spans over 25 years, she has competed nationally and on a world class level finishing with numerous Provincial Championships and National podiums.
Denise is currently a Level 4 certified Road coach and Level 1 MTB coach. She was instrumental in leading the Team Ontario road projects in 2006. Denise has had great success with Team Ontario since her involvement began in 2001.
She has certification in National Outdoor Leadership and in 1995 completed her NCCP Level 4 accreditation.
Denise is committed to producing a strong Athlete Development Program; helping Ontario's coaches; and supporting our High Performance Cyclists by getting them to the National Team level all the while working closely with Ontario and the strong support team. Denise will spearhead Team Ontario at the 2009 Canada summer games.
Denise's first official day on the job will be Monday April 23rd 2007. She can be reached at provcoach@ontariocycling.org
