Symmetrics Wins Again In El Salvador as Bell Takes Stage 7
Courtesy Symmetrics
Yesterday (May2nd) Zach Bell won the 7th stage of the Vuelta a El Salvador, in a stage described as riding in "Hells Kitchen". After about 100km of racing in the extreme heat, the Colombian team began a long chase to bring back some lesser riders who had broken clear. WIth 15 kilometres remaining, the chase came apart and the S-Team went to the front and finished the job. After a perfect yellow-and-black leadout to a very hot and tired lead group, Zach took a convincing win, with Andrew Pinfold coming in second. That's another 17 UCI points, making a grand total of 85 for the week. Today's stage (Stage 8 - May 3rd) is a massive one of climbing and it could be the most decisive day of all.
