Bromont Canada Cup a UCI C1 Event
Just a reminder for all those mountain bike racers who have aspirations of competing at one of the Canadian World Cups: you need a minimum of 20 UCI points to participate in an XC or DH World Cup. It just so happens that the Bromont Canada Cup, which takes place on the May long weekend (May 19-21), is a UCI C1 event, which pays out UCI points of 60-40-30-25-20 for the first five places in XC and DH.
Organizer Richard Deslandes tells us that he is already getting lots of interest from riders, including Max Plaxton, Matt Hadley, Raphael Gagne (all Rocky Mountain-Haywood), Neil Kindree (Kona), Catherine Pendrel (Norco) and Mical Dyck (Trek-Terrascape).
