Technical Director
The National Cycling Centre - Atlantic Canada seeks the services of a full time Technical Director to work in support of its cycling programs which are among some of the most successful in the country. One of the goals of the Centre is to develop a strong BMX program, produce international calibre athletes and to strengthen its administrative sector in support of the coaching staff. This position is created in partnership with Velo NB Inc. and the Go NB! Program and.
The main responsibilities of this position include:
Develop a strong BMX program
Administrative support of the programs
Event coordination
Coaching and community leadership development and mentoring
Facility development and maintenance (BMX track and Caisse populaire Dieppe Velodrome)
Qualifications:
The successful applicant will have a degree from a post-secondary institution or equivalent experience in a coordination role, preferably within the sport of cycling. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. The successful candidate should be self-motivated and be able to work with little supervision. The position requires strong organizational skills, enthusiasm, attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines. Proficiency and demonstrated training in Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet and e-mail are other pre-requisites. Bilingualism would be considered assets, but are not a requirement.
