Countdown Begins For Vancouver's Formwerks Westside Cycling Classic 2007

Pre Registered riders suggest biggest field yet!

Day by day the field size continues to grow for each of the races in the Formwerks Westside Cycling Classic set to go next Sunday June 3rd in Vancouver BC.

"With the new course and no clear favourite rider or team this year, it is attracting a lot of riders to race in Vancouver this coming weekend" explains event director Jonathan Wornell.

"We make our events the best we possibly can and hope riders and spectators alike will support us" Wornell continued.

This year promises to be the largest production yet with Bean Around The World coffee stations set up around the course, the largest number of Expo displays, a great team alley display, and cash prizes for King & Queen of the mountain, fastest climb, first lap prime, most aggressive rider and total finish line prize purse of over $6,000.

Riders will also be entered into a door prize draw for product prizing that will include, stays at various Vancouver hotels, restaurant packages, spa packages, Specialized & Ridley road bike frames and accessories courtesy of The Bike Gallery, and gifts from some of BC's best wineries.

The Formwerks Westside Cycling Classic presented by Canaccord Capital is scheduled to coincide with the 20th anniversary celebration of National Cancer Survivors Day, Sunday June 3, 2007 and will again be one of the main fund raising initiatives for 2007 for the Wedgewood Cycling Team, in support of the BC Cancer Foundation. The BC Cancer Foundation raises funds to support research and care at the BC Cancer Agency.
