Registration now open for the Haywood Yaletown Grand Prix
4th Annual Grand Prix presented by Deans Knight Capital Management

Now in its fourth year, the Haywood Yaletown Grand Prix is back and better than ever. Vancouver's fastest Canada Day tradition will bring hundreds of bike racers to the historic streets of Yaletown as they fly through the twisty, six-corner, 900 metre course.

Registration for the 2007 Haywood Yaletown Grand Prix is now available through www.karelo.com and, like last year, field limits of 75 per race are in place because of the tight, technical nature of the course. With an expanded event schedule which includes separate races for the Men's category 3 and 4 racers, hundreds of racers will get the rare chance to race on a closed downtown street course.

This year, the schedule will see a new Kids Race, a Cruiser bike session and a post-event racer party at the legendary Yaletown Brewing Company added to the day. According to Event Director Paul Done, this is all part of creating a day of cycling which is about more than the pros: "We're proud the racers love our event and come back each year, but for us the Yaletown Grand Prix is a celebration of the sport and community. The Kids Race, Cruiser Ride and party will be great additions to this day of cycling."

Once again this year, the Yaletown Grand Prix will raise money for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Vancouver who deliver a wide range of health, educational and recreational services to over 6000 local children annually.

The sponsors who make the 2007 Yaletown Grand Prix possible include Title Sponsor Haywood Securities, Presenting Sponsor Deans Knight Capital Management and supporting sponsors MINI Yaletown, Sol Beer, MJG Brewery Restaurants, Edgewater Casinos, Cactus Club Café, Urban Fare, Powerbar, Gaults and Trauma Tech.
