Organizers Gearing Up
Organizers have begun preparations to host the 15th Annual Tour de Cariboo, slated to take place Saturday September 8th 2007. The ride begins in Williams Lake, and finishes on the shores of picturesque Gavin Lake. This tour is a challenging 75 kilometre fully supported event, winding through the back hills of sunny Cariboo Country. Once you arrive, you're treated with hot food, a warm shower, outdoor sauna and entertainment on the shores of Gavin Lake.
This tour caters to all levels of riders, from the novice on a relay team, to the experienced such as Sven Tuft, winner of Tour 1999. If you don't have a team to bring, 'No Worries' organizers of this year's tour say they can take care of that for you. Gavin Lake caters to out of town riders offering free overnight accommodation in a private lake front cabin.
