Who Was That Rider?
We just received an interesting e-mail from Leigh Hobson. You remember Leigh - the Canadian who crashed and cracked her collarbone in New Zealand a few weeks ago? Well, about a week later she showed up on the results for the Redlands Classic stage race. We thought that this was pretty unusual, given the injury she had suffered, however, it was in the official results so we posted it. Leigh informed us that she was NOT at the race, and that probably someone else took her spot on the team. That's fine - but how did this mysterious rider get into the results as Leigh Hobson! The organizers and officials (not to mention the team involved) should have caught this, shouldn't they? I know - maybe there is a new 'designated rider rule' in effect...
