Tour of Courage

Over 125 people took part in the inaugural Tour of Courage on Sunday June 24th in Calgary. Riders did either the 90km, 60 km or 30 km distances. Riders had to pledge $1000 minimum to participate in the ride.
The ride started at the swank Spruce Meadows horse jumping grounds and took the riders west toward the Rockies. Lance Armstrong was the highlight of the ride but other celebrity cyclists including Eddie Merckx and Steve Bauer.. This was only one of the Fundraisers that Lance took part in on the weekend to raise money for Cancer Research. Other events included a speaking engagement and an exclusive 120km mountain road ride on Saturday.
