News from Napa

Gestev has just announced that they have signed a contract with the UCI to provide media services for all World Cup events in 1999. A feather in the cap to this well respected organization for the quality of their events and their professionalism.

Rob spoke briefly with Sue Palmer today. Sue says that the course has been severely soaked during severe rainfall over the past week, but is beginning to dry up after three days of clear skies. She predicts that it will be Alison Dunlaps day tomorrow. Dunlap was riding incredibly strong last weekend at Sea Otter. Palmer says Chrissy Redden was also riding well, until her mechanical in the final stage. Alison Sydor has been suffering from an illness and may not be in full form for this, the first World Cup race of the year. Palmer is hoping for a top ten result tomorrow..
