Calgary Bicycle Track League will be hosting the Alberta provincial track cycling championships on August 11-12 at the Glenmore Velodrome. Racing is open to elite and masters categories and will include pursuit, sprints, scratch, kilo/500, points and keirin races.
Further details of the event can be found at www.cbtl.ca
Out of province riders are welcome but will not be able to compete for medals or champions‚ jerseys.
Come out and join us for a great weekend of racing.
If you are in town, CBTL is also hosting a UCI omnium event (200, 4.8 km scratch, 3 km pursuit, 14.4 km points race and kilo) on the morning of Saturday, August 4. This event is free to CBTL members, $5 to other licenced riders. If you are interested, contact trackmanager@cbtl.ca to register. This event may not proceed if there are not enough interested parties. However, we do plan to set up and test our electronic timing that morning if the event does not proceed so riders interested in a timed event can practice.
