Genevieve Jeanson to Reveal All?
Canadian Cyclist has learned through at least two sources that former world champion Genevieve Jeanson is likely to provide a long and no-holds-barred interview with Radio Canada television to air sometime in the next month.
Jeanson, who less than a year ago (after her retirement) reached a plea agreement with USA Cycling over her charge of using a banned substance (EPO in 2005, see "November 28/06 5:15 pm EST - Genevieve Jeanson Accepts Offer to Settle from the USADA"), had a long relationship - professionally and personally - with her coach Andre Aubut. The pair were married and have since divorced.
Jeanson is expected to talk about the relationship, which started with Aubut coaching her when she was a young teen, and how it was at times abusive. There are rumours that she will also discuss how doping was incorporated into her program while she was still a Junior.
Jeanson currently lives in Arizona, where she owns and operates a restaurant.
