Team Ultralink Extends Through 2009
Ultralink Products, Inc. - the consumer electronics' industry's fastest growing manufacturer of audio/video cabling and connectivity products - is proud to announce the continuation and expansion of TEAM ULTRALINK, an elite women and men's cycling team based in the Ottawa area.
Ultralink has committed to providing a strong infusion of support behind a successful, hard working and determined road racing team.
In conjunction with its founder, Allen Sung, Ultralink Products Inc. and Cycle Logik Racing Corporation are proud to announce their association for the 2008 and 2009 race seasons.
Following up on its successful 2007 season, Team Ultralink will field a CCA women's trade team, as well as an espoir-oriented elite men's team, and a master's men's team. The women's team will be lead by veteran racer Jennifer Stephenson, and a young and talented group including 2007 Junior National Champion, Denise Ramsden, and 2007 Ontario Provincial Team member Sarah Coney. The team will look towards the major Canadian UCI races, as well as the National Championships in Beauce as its primary targets for the upcoming season. Full rosters and schedules will be released in the coming weeks.
"Ultralink very much enjoyed and benefited from its first year of major sponsorship for professional cycling" commented Mr. Sung. "Working with an experienced management group such as this will allow us to expand our involvement and continue to build on our successful track record, including making a two year commitment to this effort."
Riding under the sponsorship of EMD Serono Cycle Logik the past two years, Cycle Logik Racing enters its sixth year operating cycling teams. "We are pleased that while we are able to grow our team and our goals with the Ultralink partnership, our previous sponsors are also staying involved in cycling, therefore the community as a whole benefits" commented David Gazsi, Cycle Logik Racing's General Manager. "We are thrilled to be moving forward with a partner that totally understands how to combine its support for elite athletics with its own core marketing objectives."
In addition to continuing to work towards bringing new investment into both grassroots and professional cycling, Cycle Logik Racing is pleased to announce that its race has been granted Ontario Cup status for 2008. The 2008 Ultralink Ontario Cup, presented by Cycle Logik, will take place April 20th at the Calabogie Motorsports Track, about 30 minutes southwest of Ottawa.
Look for full roster and sponsor announcements, as well as details on the race, in the coming weeks.
