Beauchamp Wins

Hello, just wanted to let you know that Sylvain Beauchamp had won today the 151km stage of Tour de Gila in New Mexico. Don't have too much details, but it seems he was in a break with 12 other guys, he took the lead in the final climb and won. He doesn't know so far if he's the leader now or if he's in second or 3rd place GC.
Tour de Gila results:
Stage 1 Wed May 5th,
Tyrone Time Trial
15.7 mile out and back with 1070 feet of climbing.

Mississauga Midweek Series

It was a record turnout for the fourth event in the series , with no less than 88 starters in the two groups. The handicap group, with almost 40 riders, started two minutes in front of the scratch group and, by working hard constantly, managed to stay away for 13 0f the 18 laps.
There was lots of action in the scratch group, with splinter groups going off the front nearly every lap. The bunch always managed to pull them back and, when they finally caught the handicap pack, the ?‚s were together.
There were three primes in a row on the 15th, 16th. And 17th.. Jet Fuel's Joe Gulliano, with a 1st and a third place, won this mini contest and the Pearl Izumi warm-up vest donated by Schwinn Canada.
At the final sprint, Jeff Hansen finished a full length clear of runner-up Heath Cockburn, who just edged out Dave Fry with a final, terrific effort. Perennial top tenner, Greg Cavanagh pipped Mississauga club mate and bunch sprint specialist Piers Davidge to take fourth.. The top six was rounded out by Ital Pasta's George Neuman, in town from Vancouver.
All the riders were sporting bright new new numbers donated by La Bicicletta
