St Wendel - Men's Pre-race Report
Philippe Reinaers has sent in a pre-race report on today's men's World Cup race in St Wendel, Germany:
"The atmospheric conditions are perfect - sunny and 21 Celcius. World Cup leader Cadel Evans (Volvo-Cannondale) said yesterday at the press conference that it will be for sure a tactical race , like a road race. We can expect the same kind of race like last year where Filip Meirhaeghe (Mt Dew-Specialized) won the sprint from Evans and Rune Hoydahl (Giant)."

There was no change to the general classification after yesterday's very tough criterium. Chris Wherry (Saturn) still leads, but Canadians Sylvain Beauchamp and Eric Wohlberg (both Shaklee) are close on time, and sitting in 4th and 5th respectively. Today could see things completely rearranged after the "Gila Monster" road race - 100 miles and 9,360 feet of climbing.
Happy Birthday To...
Track and road rider Andrea Hannos.
