CC's Matt Hansen Goes Hollywood
The famous cycling novel, 'The Yellow Jersey' is about to be made into a movie, and Canadian Cyclist columnist and interviewer Matt Hansen will play a significant role.
Hollywood star Owen Wilson is set to pay the lead as an American has-been racer who is racing the Tour in support of a future star, and who unexpectedly takes over the race leader's yellow jersey. Hansen, who shares the scruffy blonde looks and vacant stare of Wilson will serve as the actor's cycling 'double' during the actual cycling scenes.
"Yeah, well it's sort of cool," admitted Hansen. "It came about through a friend of a friend who know me from my work in the comic book industry. Owen's a great guy, and already knows a lot about cycling, although he keeps asking me if I can set him up with some hot biker babes."
