Edmonton's Indoor Bicycle Track Approaches Approval
Courtesy Alan Schietzsch
This Wednesday, City Council will decide to approve or reject the replacement of Edmonton's outdoor track, which was built over 30 years ago and is at the end of it's lifetime. Edmonton cyclists have worked for more than three years to design, business plan, and get approvals for a new World Class indoor year-round facility.
Council is on the verge of deciding. Please help make this a reality by showing your support to councillors.
You can send an e-mail (instructions below), or even wear a T-Shirt and show up at the council meeting! It's time to step up, outnumber the "Not In My Backyard" crowd, and show Council that cyclists deserve as much consideration as hockey, baseball, soccer and other sports.
We've done all the work, figured out the finances, and obtained all the approvals. All we have to do is get them to vote "Yes" and construction can begin!
Don't let this golden opportunity slip away forever - this is our chance and we have to seize it!
Please take action now, and you can say "I helped make this happen!"
Tell two friends, and thank you!
