Team EVA Devinci Kicks Off Racing Season
Team EVA Devinci will begin its 2008 racing season by taking part in the Tour of the Battenkill, held Saturday, April 19th around the town of Salem, New York. This grueling event is 82 miles long and includes many unpaved sections along its parcours, inspired by the tradition of true European Spring Classics.
Victorious in 2007, team EVA Devinci will defend its title with a strong lineup composed of Dominique Perras, David Maltais, Simon Gagnon-Brassard, Stéphane Cossette, Charles Thibault and Sandy Fulton. They will have to contend with a strong contingent of teams from the United States, Ontario and Quebec.
Four team members will not be making the trip to New York. Mathieu Toulouse will be in Europe for mountain bike World Cup events, Guillaume Boivin will be racing in Belgium, Georges-Édouard Duquette will be finishing up a training camp in Virginia and Jean-Sebastien Perron will be busy with school.
