Riders Needed for Vancouver Sustainability Event
Courtesy Glenn Barr
Burnaby Velodrome riders will be center stage at the upcoming Launch Party for Vancouver's 30 Days of Sustainability (www.30days.ca). The Launch Reception and Earth Day Celebration will take place on Tuesday, April 22nd at SWELL, an eco-design exhibition at the Pendulum Gallery. Featuring popular DJs, organic hors d'oeuvres, organic wine and beer, a group of BVC riders will be using pedal-power to generate electricity for the DJ and sound system, demonstrating sustainable power in action!
Our pedal power-team of Glenn Barr, Andy George, Mike Rothengatter, Mike Lawrence, Matt Chater and Rob McMurtry is seeking four more riders to round things out. This is a great opportunity to showcase and advertise track cycling to mainstream media and corporate interests, and get us involved in an exciting event that is looking to make the things we do everyday a little more sustainable.
Why not join us to 'light things up and get the house rocking'?
E-mail Glenn Barr (gledoubarr@yahoo.caif you're interested in helping out. Spots are available on a first come, first served basis.
