Canada Cup #2 - Hardwood Hills, Ontario
We have a pre-race report from Dave Grant (Schwinn-Toyota) on today's downhill. After battling traffic on the 400 from Toronto (an accident slowed things down so much that the organizers were forced to extend registration times), the riders are getting ready for the downhill. Initial reports are that the riders like the course, calling it a "BMX-style" run. The conditions are fast and dry, and the weather is hot and sunny. There are 66 Pro-Elite men and 15 Pro-Elite women, with the first woman off at 2:22 (1 minute intervals). Dave promises reports right after the women finish, halfway through the men's race, and at the end of the men's event.
