Westside Classic Signs More Top Riders & Prize Money

Canadian Road Race Champion Cam Evans latest addition.

Canadian National Road Race Champion Cam Evans is delaying his departure for Philadelphia's prestigious cycling week to be able to compete in the BC Cancer Foundation's Westside Cycling Classic BC Provincial Road Race Championships presented by the Airey Group on Sunday June 1st in Vancouver BC.
With the prize purse in excess of seventeen thousand dollars the newly crowned BC Provincial Champions will receive one of the largest cash payouts in Canada this year.

"The more top riders like Cam Evans & Svein Tuft we can attract the bigger the event becomes" explained Philip Meyer, Director of the Wedgewood Cycling Team. "The bigger the event becomes the more awareness and funds we can raise for the BC Cancer Foundation" Meyer continued.
Presenting sponsor Howard Airey of the Airey Group is committed to promote cycling at all levels and hopes one day to bring the Canadian National Championships to Vancouver and the Westside course.
The BC Cancer Foundation Westside Cycling Classic doubles as this years BC Provincial Championship and the afternoon Community Ride headed by
Axel Merckx, Trevor Linden , Alex Stieda & friends.
