Prokop Out of Worlds
Former 4-Cross world champion Michal Prokop (Czech Republic) is out of the 2008 world championships after crashing in training yesterday. Initially, it was thought that he had broken his collarbone which, while serious, is an injury that heals quickly and would have little impact on his Olympic BMX plans. However, it appears that the injury is more serious, with possible tendon damage to his shoulder, and he has headed back to the Czech Republic for medical treatment.
Prokop joins Andorra World Cup 4-cross winner Dan Atherton (Great Britain) on the sidelines, who is out with a broken collarbone.
