Best Fest @ Buckwallow - Ontario
Courtesy Mambo Kings MTB Club
Saturday, July 12th
Our good friend Jim Best was in need owing to his battle with MS. Answering the call were scores of riders who gathered at Buckwallow Cycling Centre near Gravenhurst for a day of riding to assist Jim.
Despite the morning rain, Best Fest turned into a huge party. There was mud, puddles, burgers, beer and many happy people. And all for a good cause - helping our fellow MAMBO King and all around nice guy Jim Best. If Revenue Canada asks, the event raised a couple of bucks and a case of beer for Jim. We know better.
We just want Jim to get his health back and every little bit helps. It also looks like we've seen the birth of a great new MTB event in Ontario. It's just about riding and good times with a man who has done a lot for mountain biking in Ontario. We're certain that Best Fest will be back next year.
Thanks to Gord Wyatt for organizing, Bob Bonner for working on the draw and to all the people who stepped forward to donate draw prizes. The volunteer effort from so many made this such a worthwhile event. Mostly thanks to all of the riders who attended and their generous contributions to the fund raising for Jim.

To find out more about MS please visit www.mssociety.ca. Jim is just one of thousands in Canada with MS. Your help towards a cure is most appreciated.
