Canadian Cyclist Fantasy Tour Standings Update
Note: These are revised standings after it was pointed out we incorrectly deducted 20 points for abandons, rather than 5.
The Canadian Cyclist Fantasy Pool has seen another complete shuffle in the standings at the end of Stage 17, as the Tour exits the Alps. Carlos Sastre (CSC) has taken the lead in the Tour, and Lulu1 has taken the lead in our Fantasy Tour, with 182 points. Lulu1 is followed by joes with 181 points and CG at 178 points. A lot of players took a hit when Mark Cavendish (Columbia) did not start Stage 15, losing 5 of the 24 points he had accumulated. What is also interesting is that only one of our top ten in the current standings have Frank Schleck (CSC) on their team, and nobody has Bernard Kohl (Gerolsteiner).
We are also pleased to announce the winners of our Specialized prizes after Stage 14 at the end of Week 2. CG held a substantial 5 point lead in the standings, with 181 points to Go Faster's 176. (Our Editor wants to point out that, ahem, he was in third...) We had a four-way tie for fourth place at 173 points.
The top two players win our Week 2 prizes from Specialized, with CG receiving a Specialized Toupe Saddle worth $179.99, and GoFaster gets a Air Tool Pro floor pump worth $89.99.
You can view the complete standings after Stages 14 and 17 at the main page of the Canadian Cyclist Fantasy Tour presented by Specialized.
Only four more stages to go!
