Orientation/Outreach Specialist
We are excited to announce the expansion of The Ride to Conquer Cancer to your area! Be part of a highly respected organization that raises millions of dollars every year for cancer treatment, prevention, education and outreach services. The funds raised through this event are used locally in the ongoing quest to Conquer Cancer in our lifetime.
Purpose of Position:
Our inaugural ride was hosted in Toronto (www.conquercancer.ca) and we are currently expanding this energizing event to your city. We are looking for a dynamic individual who will participate on our team in the role of Orientation/Outreach Specialist. This Role key to introducing people to our events in your local area! You will spend most of your time out in the community inspiring people to make a difference in the fight against cancer and register for our event.
Position Description
As the Orientations Specialist you will be the main presenter to an audience of people that have requested more information about the event. You will make a presentation, show a video, answer questions and inspire registrations. Your outreach responsibilities will include finding local events that you and or our volunteers can attend and spread the word about our event with the goal of increasing the number of participants to our events. The ideal candidate will have a passion to make a difference, the ability to connect with and inspire people, experience in public speaking, organized, energetic, fantastic communicator, and professional demeanor.
The role of Orientation/Outreach Specialist includes:
Inspire registrations through face to face communications with people
Find and book orientation locations
Enter all registrations in the database on the date received
Research events in local area and arrange outreach activities
Work with volunteer coordinator to arrange help with outreach and orientation
Contribute to a positive working environment
Answer Inbound calls as needed
Serve as Event Staff during event season
Involves some days, evenings and weekends
Must have transportation
Reporting Structure
Daily activities of all positions in the office are coordinated by the Team Lead.

Teams Participation Coach
As the Teams Participation Coach you will be on the front lines conducting outbound calls to a variety of companies in the surrounding area of your event city. In this newly created position you will be instrumental in prospecting and building new relationships with companies. The goal is to register as many of the company's employees in one of our events. The ideal candidate will have a passion to make a difference, a minimum of 1 year outbound telephone sales or account management experience, strategic thinker, highly organized, energetic, fantastic communicator, professional demeanor, enjoys being on the phone and will actively participate in making this new position a positive contributor to the growth and success of our events!
The role of the Teams Participation Coach includes:
B to B outbound calling
Inspire companies to help us spread the word of our event to their employees
Development of new teams, either company sponsored or employee driven
Increase number of on-site company orientations
Assist with development of a prospect database
Work with Team Captains to increase team size and maximize fundraising
Contribute to a positive working environment
Answer Inbound calls as needed
Serve as Event Staff during event season
Reporting Structure
Daily activities of all positions in the office are coordinated by the Team Lead.

The Ride Guide is essential in ensuring the participation and fundraising success of The Ride To Conquer Cancer.
Ride Guide Description
As a Ride Guide, you are the foundation of our event. You will spend your time on the phone talking to people about registering for the event and be their point of contact through the finish line! As their Ride Guide and point of information contact, you will inspire their continued efforts in fundraising and training for this amazing two-day ride. The ideal candidate will have a passion to make a difference, a minimum of 1 year of telephone service or sales experience, and some college coursework completed is preferred.
The role of the Ride Guide includes:
Answer inbound and initiate outgoing calls
Call and register people who have expressed interest in the event
Motivate and support participants with training and fundraising goals
Teach and share techniques for each participant to reach their goals
Maintain a friendly and supportive attitude with all participants and team mates
Contribute to a positive working environment
Demonstrate willingness to do whatever it takes to produce a successful event
Must enjoy talking with people over the phone
Serve as Event Staff during event season

À propos de l'emploi
Le Cyclo-défi (Ride to Conquer Cancer) a eu lieu l'an dernier à Toronto (www.conquercancer.ca), et nous désirons maintenant en faire profiter les habitants du Québec. Nous recherchons une personne dynamique pour faire partie de l'équipe à titre de Guide. Le Guide assure la participation et le succès de la levée de fonds du Cyclo-défi contre le cancer.
Le Guide
En tant que Guide, vous êtes essentiel à cet événement. Vous passerez beaucoup de temps au téléphone pour convaincre les gens de participer, répondre à leurs questions et être leur référence principale jusqu'au Jour J. Vous devrez les inspirer à persévérer dans leur entraînement et leur levée de fonds pour cette incroyable randonnée de deux jours. Le candidat idéal doit être déterminé à faire une différence, posséder un minimum d'un an d'expérience en télémarketing ou en vente, et une éducation universitaire (terminée ou en cours). Le candidat doit être bilingue.
Les tâches comprennent :
Répondre aux appels entrants et ainsi qu'en initier des sortants :
Appeler les gens qui ont manifesté leur intérêt pour l'événement et les inciter à s'inscrire.
Soutenir et motiver les participants afin qu'ils atteignent leurs objectifs de levée de fonds et d'entraînement.
Enseigner aux participants les techniques pour les aider à atteindre leur but.
Demeurer agréable et poli avec les participants et vos coéquipiers en tout temps.
Contribuer à un environnement de travail positif et agréable.
Être prêt à faire tout le nécessaire pour assurer le succès de l'événement.
Vous devez aimer discuter au téléphone avec les participants.
Travailler sur les événements durant l'été.
Les dollars amassés
Les fonds amassés dans le cadre de cet événement seront distribués localement afin de lutter contre le cancer.
