In its 4th year, the Total Restoration Cycling team is heading into the 2009 cycling season with fewer riders but substantially more horsepower.

After a successful 2008 program that included the overall win in the men's and women's BC Cup Series, the team will be focusing more of its efforts outside of B.C. "While the focus of the team has always been to raise the profile of cycling in the Okanagan while creating an opportunity for junior cyclists, it will work towards sending more riders to races out of the province that serve as qualifying events for the National Team" said Cory Forrest, Director of the Total Restoration Cycling Team. "We've been fortunate to receive increased support every year which has allowed the program to develop into one of the premier race teams in Western Canada."

Key additions to the men's team include all around strong man Jeff Sherstobitoff who rode with the Professional Symmetrics Cycling Team for 4 seasons, Christiaan de Vries who is an established climber making a successful return to racing, and Dan MacDonald who is a consistent top finisher in the B.C. Cup Series. Returning riders include Tour de Whiterock podium finisher Tim Sherstobitoff, Owen Harrison and Trevor Haaheim who will all add excellent strength in criteriums and climbing races.

Bringing international experience to the women's squad is 2008 NRC podium finisher Alison Testroete who will be joined by 2008 BC Cup Champion Sarah Stewart, 2008 Yaletown Grand Prix winner Gillian Moody, 2008 Bastion Square winner Gillian Carleton and consistent top 3 BC Cup finisher Jessica Hannah. The lone junior on the team is Evan Guthrie who will divide his time between road and mountain bike racing, where he looks to defend his National Cross Country and Cyclocross titles. Marni Hambleton will be managing the women's team while suiting up for select criteriums throughout the year.

The team is pleased to announce that Total Restoration Services is back on board as title sponsor with a substantial financial contribution that helps the team meet its travel goals. Other returning sponsors include Image One MRI, Kelowna Physiotherapy Associates, Ecotrend Ecologics, Kal Tire, Okanagan Health and Performance and Kelowna Flightcraft all helping the team with financial commitment and background support. New product sponsors include Argon 18 bikes, Catlike helmets, Northwave shoes, Oakley sunglasses and Kelowna Cycle.
