Winterbourne Offers Pro Bike Mechanic Course

Winterborne Bicycle Institute (WBI) has announced an additional early-season offering of their premier "Pro Bike Mechanics" course. This will help to meet demand reflected in growing wait lists for the course. The 11-day hands-on immersion course will be run April 20th to May 1st at the fully-tooled shop/classroom in Guelph, Ontario.

The continuing shortage of trained bicycle mechanics, coupled with declining fortunes in the manufacturing industry, is causing an increase in the number of mechanically-skilled adults seeking retraining to enter the bicycle industry as mechanics. WBI, established in 2006, is Canada's only college-affiliated trade school for bicycle mechanics. WBI is an off-campus trade school partner of Conestoga College, and is accredited by Shimano Canada. Tuition fees are eligible for the CRA's Tuition Tax Credit.

For further information, see WBI's website at, or call 519-826-0556. Also visit WBI at the Toronto International Bike Show, March 13 - 15.
