March 26/09 14:51 pm - Final Days of the Chunky MVC Voting

Well the past few weeks have been very busy with the Chunky MVC Award, the program has been profiled on Shaw and Global TV as well as a number of local radio and print media.  Voting continues up to the 29th of March so I’ll need all the support and more to ensure a strong finish.  It has been an exciting few weeks with a few days in 1st then a day or 2 in 2nd so it is not going to be a sure thing as I am sure there are a lot of people ready to vote in the final few days.

I was nominated by a rider named Courtney and her Mom Anna.  Courtney has been a member of the Para Cycle Program at the Oval for 5 years now and she has really developed into an incredible young lady.  This award is the biggest reward that I’ve ever been  a part of and it has brought a lot of attention to the Program and all that I’ve accomplished over the past 10 Years.  Over 400 Coaches were nominated from across Canada and it is now down to the final 4 coaches.  If you haven’t already seen the TSN Commercial you can catch it on the competition website as well....

The Grand Prize includes a $5000  grant and the big item will be a TSN Documentary on the Oval Para Cycle Program as well as a TSN Breakfast and Training Camp with a coach of my choice.  To vote please go to the following website, you need to create an account so that each time you vote you just need to enter your email address and password.  You can vote daily from each email address you have access to (work, personal, family etc) so please feel free to spread the word to get more votes.  I’ve already started getting inquiries about the program so I am sure this exposure will be positive for the Para Cycle Program locally as well as Nationally.
