Three Canadians are competing in the Tour of Romandie that started today: Michael Barry (Team Columbia - High Road), Dominique Rollin ( Cervelo TestTeam) and Christian Meier (Garmin Slipstream). Today's stage was a 3.1 km ITT won by Barry's teammate, Frantisek Rabon.
Rollin was not initially on the Cervelo team roster for the race but was added at the last minute. He finished 77th and had the following comment regarding his result "It is always difficult (to ride) against the clock for three miles with a climb after 100 meters. I went a little too quickly on the climb and I lost speed at the summit. "
"I'll try to work for our climbers," said Rollin. "There may be a stage or two where I can try for the sprint. "
