The CCA is seeking a volunteer manager to lead the 2009 National Downhill Team Program. The Canadian Cycling Association (CCA) is the recognized authority by the UCI (Union Cycliste International) on all aspects of cycling in Canada, including BMX, Cyclo-Cross, Mountain Bike, Para-Cycling, Road and Track.

Task Description:
The manager is responsible for leading the 2009 National Program including projects to the Canadian rounds of the UCI World Cup, the World Championships, the manager will work with the CCA mountain bike coordinator or selection criteria, selections as well as logistics. The CCA will cover the cost for the Manager’s travel, accommodation and per diem.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and knowledge in MTB and experience managing cycling teams at the domestic and international levels. The successful candidate will have the ability to make recommendations regarding all aspects of logistics, selections, and to manage a team of espoir/U23 and senior elite athletes during the 2009 Downhill MTB season. Strong consultative, facilitation and decision-making skills are required. The ability to communicate in both official languages is a key asset.

Gérant bénévole – Programme de l’équipe nationale de descente

L’ACC est à la recherche d’un gérant bénévole pour diriger le programme de l’équipe canadienne de descente. L’Association cycliste canadienne (ACC) est l’autorité reconnue par l’Union cycliste internationale (UCI) pour gérer toutes les disciplines cyclistes au Canada, incluant le BMX, le Cyclo-Cross, le vélo de montagne,le paracyclisme, le vélo de route et la piste.

Description de la tâche:
Le gérant devra diriger le programme de l’équipe national de descente incluant la participation à certains projets tels que les étapes de la Coupes du Monde au Canada et le Championnat du Monde. Le gérant de projet bénéficiera du soutien administratif du bureau national en ce qui concerne la logistique du projet. L’ACC couvrira les coûts du voyage et l’hébergement du gérant lors des projets

Le candidat idéal devra avoir de l’expérience en tant que gérant d’une équipe en vélo de montagne sur la scène national et ou international. Il sera en mesure de faire des recommandations concernant tous les aspects logistiques, ainsi que de diriger l’équipe composée d’athlètes juniors, espoirs / U23 et seniors élite durant les événements. Le candidat doit être un bon communicateur et avoir la capacité de prendre des décisions rapides. Le bilinguisme sera considéré comme un atout.
