The Forest City Velodrome in London Ontario is pleased to announce that the FCV will host the 2009 Ontario Track Championships. This will be the 5th year the FCV will be hosting the event. The number of track riders & racers has grown 10x in 5 short years. The 138m indoor Velodrome is operated by Volunteers and has many programs from Youth programming on Saturday’s to Track introductory sessions throughout the winter months.
The dates for the 2009 Track Championships are Friday July 31 - Saturday August 1st.

The competition will begin on Friday afternoon at 4pm.
The Championships will consist of a 5 event Omnium for Cadet, Junior men, Junior women, Elite men, Elite women and Masters. Races include Flying 138m, Points and Scratch races, 500m/Kilo and Pursuit Time Trials.
In addition to the Omnium, the Ontario Sprint Championships will be held over the 2 days, starting on Friday July 31st. The 2009 Sprint Championships will be ability based depending on Flying lap times during the Omnium event. There will be 3 divisions for the sprinters, Elite, “B” & “C”. The organizer found the competition was very even in all of the sprint divisions in 2008. The same format will continue in 2009.
The Ontario Championships are open to out of Province riders, Medals will be awarded to Ontario riders only.
