This event was run as a points race with 3 sprints each for handicap and scratch groups and the remaining seven primes for the combined field. The first three over the line in each sprint were awarded 3, 2 and 1 point respectively, with double points being awarded for the fifth and final sprints. Any ties are broken by the position in the final sprint.
