Mid summer crit racing returns to the streets of the City of Welland on Saturday August 1, 2009. This year marks the 20th year for this criterium which moves from Chippawa Park to be held under the street lights of historic downtown Welland, Ontario.
The race is organized by the same group that brought the Niagara Classic, Ontario Provincial Road Race Championships, Ontario Time Trial Championships, Canadian Road Race Championship and the UCI sanctioned 2003 Nella-Cramaro Grand Prix.
The course is a closed circuit and features two bridges over the old canal, which forms a sweeping left hand turn, with long wide straightaways with new pavement.
It promises to be an evening of fast spectacular racing! Join us after for a street party with music and food!
