Sunday September 20th, 2009 marks the 4th Annual Share the Road Ride.
The Share the Road ride signifies a movement and memmorial for O.P.P. Sgt. Greg Stobbart, who was tragically struck by a truck as he rode his bike on Tremaine road in Milton, ON.
Each year Eleanor McMahon, Greg's wife, holds "Greg's ride" in memory. To remind us all to "share the road", and to raise awareness and funds for the cycling coalition she founded and leads. The Share the Road Cycling Coalition.
Plan to join us and other cyclists from across the province on this epic day for a great ride, a great cause, and great fun. Our goal is to spread the message to motorists and cyclists alike to share the road, in hope that we can make our roads safer for cyclists and our communities as a whole.
Let's make our roads "bicycle friendly"
