Canadian Junior women's cross-country champion Laura Bietola will not be on the start line for tomorrow's World Cup Junior Challenge after breaking her ankle earlier in the week during training. Acording to National Coach Dan Proulx, Bietola suffered a crack (note: not a fracture) to her ankle when her foot rolled when she put it on the ground while negotiating a section of the course. Bietola was fitted with a cast at the local hospital.
