The 5th annual ZM Turkey Cyclocross race surpassed even our highest expectations. Mother Nature gave us some beautiful sunny fall weather, participants came out in droves, and spectators happily watched the show.

How the races unfolded: Andrew Watson of Norco won hands down the Elite men's race with obvious fitness carried over from a season of World Cup mountain biking. Erik Box of Louis Garneau finally had his day with a second position (no chain break this time). Experienced rider Peter Morse, of Jet Fuel, bided his time to a fading field and expertly took the 3rd step of the podium.

In the women's Elite race another World Cup mountain biker Amanda Sin of 3 Rocks racing was present and took top honours. Experienced rider Jennifer Stephenson took 2nd place, while Tabitha Ferguson of Cycle-Solutions completed the podium.

In the Master 1 men's race, Andrew Croutch of True North was on fire and easily took the win. He later said the course suited him perfectly. Looking at his lap time he was on par with the very best of the Elite men's field. 2nd place Derek Harding of Lap Dogs raced on the very limit of traction to slip away from hard charging Ed Makarchuk who ending the day in 3rd place.

The M2 men's race was won by Jason Mcarthur, while the M3 Master men's race was dominated by Cycle-Solution's Tom MacKay and John Fisher whom finished 1st and 2nd respectfully.

Noah Rosen of Vélo Colour took 1st place in the Senior 3 Men's race, Conner Rapus of won the men's under 19 race, and lastly Jason Massicotte of CyclePath easily took the Junior men's race.
