The Canadian Cycling Association has been through considerable changes in the past couple of years, with a change in the CEO, hirings of numerous coaches and and cycling discipline staff, and a restructuring of the Association.
Overall, the CCA has moved from a deficit to surplus position, from a budget of $3.2 million and a deficit of $135,346 in 2006-7, to a budget of nearly $4 million and a budget surplus of $124,563 for 2009-10.
There was one bylaw change - to have the President serve four years, so that the CCA follows the quadrennial cycle of the Olympics and the UCI. This also required that the current President (John Tolkamp) have a term extension to five years to make the transition from the current three year term situation.
A proposal has been made to hold the 2010 AGM in Mont Ste Anne, Quebec immediately following the Mountain Bike World Championships (September 6-7).
