December 17/09 9:59 am - Armstrong Second in Athlete of the Decade Voting

Associated Press has announced their Athlete of the Decade, which is the much embattled golfer Tiger Woods, followed by cyclist Lance Armstrong. Tennis player Roger Federer finished third. Woods received 56 of 142 ballots cast by AP writers, Armstrong 33 and Federer 25. Swimmer Michael Phelps came in fourth with 13 votes, followed by NFL quarterback Tom Brady (6) and sprinter Usain Bolt (4). Five other athletes received one vote apiece.
