Presenting Team Nanoblur/Gears: a CCA Women’s Trade Team. We are pleased to present our team for its inaugural season. This professional women’s team will compete at the highest levels in North America that will take us from Redlands to the Montreal World Cup, to Tour of PEI, Cascades and many races along the way including Joe Martin, Le Grand Tour de Montreal and Fitchburg . Our season begins with the team training camp February 12th-28th in South Carolina.

We have a very talented team of 7 riders led by former Canadian National Time Trial Champion Anne Samplonius and 2008 Olympian Leigh Hobson. Both Anne and Leigh have very impressive cycling CV’s that include multiple World Championship and International appearances. They will also act as mentors to our team.

"I cannot express enough how thrilled I am to join the ranks of a Canadian trade team again.  We have had great riders coming out of Canada, yet we seem to struggle with producing professional teams.  There is no denying that I am nearing the end of my career and I want to give something back - especially to Canadian cycling. I still have some personal goals, but what I enjoy the most at this point is mentoring others. Nanoblur/Gears is a perfect fit for me in this regard. We have some untapped Canadian talent and we hope to discover and develop more as this is one of the primary goals of the team. Both Leigh and myself bring a lot of international experience to the team and together we hope to raise the level to put Nanoblur/Gears on the radar within the top teams in North America."
